Monk is a station on the green line of the Montreal Metro

History

Monk station takes it's name from the street it is located on, Boulevard Monk, which was named after Sir James Monk. Sir Monk was a prosecutor for Quebec's vice admiralty court (1778-1788) and served as Montréal's chief justice (1793-1820).

Monk station is located in the area of Ville-Émard, which is in the the Sud-Ouest area of Montréal.
