The Conseil Intermunicipal de Transport de la Vallée du Richelieu provides public transportation services for the towns of Beloeil, McMasterville, Mont Saint-Hilaire, Otterburn Park, Saint-Basile-le-Grand, Saint-Hyacinthe and Sainte-Madeleine.
History
The CIT Vallée du Richelieu was formed in December of 1984, along with various other CIT Systems in order to have a focused local service. The service was contracted out to the Société de Transport du Rive-Sud de Montréal, who maintained the service until December of 1991.
In January 1992, the contract was awarded to Limocar which later became Transdev Québec who still operate the contract to this day.
In 2014, CIT Vallée du Richelieu celebrated their 30th Anniversary and came out with a livery redesign and a new system logo.
