My name is Anthony D'Amico. I am a teenage transit enthusiast. I love Trams, Trains, Buses, Subways, Metro's, Planes, Ships, Cars, Trucks, Elevators, escalators, race -cars... Anything that moves people or stuff, I'm interested in! I got into the hobby at a young age, I always admired school buses in elementary school and summer camp would always include rides in the Metro to get to destinations. When high-school came, I would be in public transit vehicles daily for the first time of my life, I got very interested, the highlight of my days would be to see the lineup of 12 or more public transit buses at my school and hear them rev up and take off, especially riding them, Having fun with friends at the same time as being in my favorite vehicle was amazing to me. In 2006(Grade 7) I took the liberty of googling my cities transit authority, and found Mystic's Youtube account (The Admin of Transitfan.com) I saw that he had tons of information on these vehicles and videos. I would spend my nights watching transit videos. In 2007, my parents made a purchase on a nice German car and all my attention went to it. I became a hardcore automotive enthusiast. In 2008 I was on automotive forums everywhere discussing cars, In total I have about 8'000 posts in one website. In 2009, I changed schools from Laval to Montreal and that meant I was able to take the STL, STM and the Metro. My inner Transit enthusiast came back out, I joined the CPTDB but because of differences on that forum, I got banned and got invited by Mystic to join Transitfan.com! Now because of the tons of info and outings we host, I have over 1700 photos and tons of knowledge I can teach future transit enthusiast! Public transportation is green, safe, innovative, cheap, sustainable and brings communities and cultures together. And that's why I love it soo much! |
